Through the Lauterbrunnen Valley and by cable car via Mürren and Birg you reach the summit. The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau line up beside the Bernese and Valais Alps; on clear days the view reaches the Mont Blanc massif. At the Birg intermediate station the Skyline Walk and the Thrill Walk await.

From 19 to 30 October 2026 the Stechelberg – Mürren cable car is closed for maintenance; a replacement bus runs via Mürren. Choose your day, and you will see the journeys as they appear in the public timetable. From the hotel: on foot to Interlaken Ost station, about 400 metres.

From Interlaken and back CHF 135.20, with Half Fare Card CHF 67.60. According to the operator the fares apply until 12 December 2026.
Are there maintenance periods?
Yes. From 19 to 30 October 2026 the Stechelberg – Mürren cable car is closed; between 8 am and 6 pm a replacement bus runs via Mürren, with limited seats.
Is the Berner Oberland Pass valid?
Yes, the Schilthornbahn is included in the Berner Oberland Pass.
